Crocheting Pebbly iPhone Cozy

Pebbly iPhone Cozy

Pattern:

Ch  10.

R1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook.   Sc in next 7 st.  Then 3sc in next ch.  Then sc in the next 7 ch on other side of the foundation ch.  3 sc in last ch, sl st in first sc.

R2:  Ch 1. Sc in each sc of the first round.  Do not sl st in last st of Round 1.  Start spiral pattern.

R3:  Sc in first sc of Round 2, *sc in sc in the row  below (See photo 2), sc in next sc, repeat from * around.  Continue to repeat this stitch pattern until desired length.

NOTE:  Because there is an odd number (21) of stitches around your cozy, the short and long stitches will alternate and leave a "pebbly" look.  It's nice and thick, and is great for protecting your phone!  This pattern can also be expanded to fit a Kindle or other device.  Just be sure to have an odd number of stitches around.  For the pink cozy, I used 2 strands of fingering yarn together.
You can even expand the beginning chain to get a Kindle cozy.  Enjoy!
